Levan Davitashvili congratulated Georgian scientists on the anniversary date

The event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia was opened by the Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, who congratulated Georgian scientists on the anniversary date and spoke about the importance of their contribution in the development of the agricultural sector.

"Agrarian Science has a long history. The Academy of Agricultural Sciences is a state advisor which might be regarded as a major contributor to adopting the “right” policy in the agrarian sector. It should be noted, that contribution and experience of Georgian scientists is priceless. Furthermore, close cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia is inevitable for proper and effective development of the sector "said Levan Davitashvili. The President of the Academy, Guram Aleksidze talked about the activities undertaken by the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia during 60 years. The Academy was established on December 12, 1957.

The Members of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences received congratulations on the jubilee from  their colleagues of different countries. Scientific conference and exhibition was held within the event. The Deputies of the Minister of Agriculture, Yuri Nozadze and Rezo Asatiani, Director of the Scientific-Research Center, Levan Ujmajuridze, Head of the Tbilisi City Council, Giorgi Tkemaladze, representatives of the Executive Authority and Agrarian Committee of the Parliament of Georgia attended the event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Academy.
